Inspired by Georgian-era jewels, this high-dome eternity band is designed with modern proportions. As most meaningful things take great time and effort to produce our jewelers took great care making this ring. Each stone using a centuries-old silver-on-gold technique. It also features the laborious technique of ajouré. This roughly translates to 'letting the light in.' Traditionally seen in Art Deco era jewels it is rarely seen in contemporary pieces because of the skill and time required. Our jewelers hand pierce the back of each setting, allowing light to pass through and creating a beautiful pattern on the interior.
Meticulously created in our workshop over many weeks. Techniques like these have been lost in the name of speed and mass production at the cost of quality and beauty. A rare collection of thirty-four matching antique old European cut diamonds were used for this project.
Bell & Bird One-of-a-kind Domed Old European Cut Diamond Eternity Band
A recent special project, a modern wide eternity band with a high dome shape. It is set with a rare collection of thirty-four antique matched Old European-cut diamonds. There are an additional seventeen single-cut diamonds. The total diamond weight is 7.82 carats. Estimated diamond quality ranges from H-K color to SI2- VS1 clarity. Our silver-on-gold technique is true to the rings that inspired this design and is rarely seen in modern jewelry. Inspired by Georgian-era jewels, we pavé set each stone in silver on gold.
One of a Kind. We are only able to produce these rings when we have accumulated a large collection of perfectly matched stones in size, color and quality.
Size 5.50, not sizable.
Hand fabricated in our Texas workshop, this ring is in our custom blend of 18K rose gold. A more subdued, darker tone than commercially available rose gold. We call this color "old gold" and created the alloy in the spirit of the many 19th century rings we have handled. The silver has been darkened with an oxidation technique.
