Georgian era extra long pinchbeck chain. Pinchbeck is a gold metal alloy used in the 18th and 19th centuries. While at the same time the scarcity of precious metal encouraged the use of wafer-thin foil of gold. Circa 1800. English in Origin.
Large in scale a great piece for wearing doubled up or in a single strand.
