Our workshop is among the few remaining that still practice true hand fabrication. In an industry dominated by modern production and CAD, the craftsmanship of the individual jeweler has become a rarity. Every ring is touched by at least five members of our in-house team as it moves from the bench to its final online presentation.
We used traditional vitreous enamel for this setting, a painstaking technique common in Victorian jewelry. The color draws from 19th-century carved “lava” pieces, which are actually lightweight volcanic-ash stones found in many shades, our favorite being a soft gray.

The soft slate color of the enamel draws its inspiration from antique lava jewelry—most notably, a pair of Georgian-era carved lava torpedo drop earrings from our archive.

Bell & Bird No. 3956 Sapphire and Enamel Ring
A cornflower-blue sapphire accented with gray enamel creates a play of subdued colors. The stone is certified at 5.17 carats, of Ceylon origin, and free from any treatments. Traditional vitreous enamel is meticulously applied to the sides and shoulders of the ring, a painstaking process. This ring is one-of-a-kind.
Rings with enamel bands must be worn with some care as enamel is similarly hard to quartz stones and will show wear over the years.
Size 6.25. Reach out to discuss sizing options.
Made by us in our Texas workshop, the ring is handcrafted in our signature blend of 18K rose gold, affectionately called “Old Gold.” This distinctive shade has a richer, slightly deeper tone than modern rose gold, giving it a timeless quality that pairs beautifully with antique pieces. While our signature styles are repeated, our hand-fabricated process, paired with carefully curated stones, result in a truly one-of-a-kind ring. A process that no casting or mass production can replicate. This individuality is what gives each piece its soul.
