Frequently Asked Questions

Custom Projects

Are you accepting custom projects ?

We do not offer a full custom service. However, many of our designs can be special ordered with your own specifications. We spend great time and energy sourcing the stones for our work that provide the best value for our clients and do maintain standards on stone quality. Please reach out to discuss your goals and we will let you know if we are the best fit for you.

We have an evolving selection of in house designs that are available for immediate purchase.

Do you use client's materials?

We do not typically work with client's materials. We spend significant time and effort curating fine, uncommon stones for our work, allowing us to create the most successful pieces for our clients. We do consider a limited number of commissioned pieces for important stones. Please reach out if you have a very special project in mind.

Sizing

Do you offer ring resizing?

We offer complimentary resizing on most of our rings. Not all rings can be resized and some have sizing limitations. Please reach out before purchasing to inquire about resizing options.

If you are unsure of your correct size, please reach out to us. We can help guide you in determining the correct size. Resizing can take 2-5 days depending on the piece.

We prefer to do the work after you have decided the piece is right for you. Pieces that have been resized cannot be returned for a refund.

Repairs and Restorations

Do you offer a repair or restoration service?

Our workshop is unable to accommodate any repairs or restorations on pieces that were not acquired from Bell & Bird.

Bell & Bird complimentary repairs for the first six months after purchase (under normal wear, excluding accidental damage). To protect yourself from the cost of major loss and damage, your jewelry needs to be insured. After the first six months, we charge a labor and materials fee for repairs.

We prefer to do all repairs on Bell & Bird pieces, as many jewelers are unfamiliar with proper care for antiques or our specific manufacturing process. If you are unable to bring or ship the piece to us, be sure to go to a jeweler that has extensive experience with antique pieces. Seek out a jeweler that does repairs with a laser never a soldering torch. Request they do not remove patina or clean closed back settings.
