A strikingly similar pair is illustrated in the book “French Jewelry of the 19th Century” by Henri Viver. This authoritative book was initially published in 1903 and shows a pair of earrings that were likely made by the same hand, along with other earrings made in the transition time from the French Revolution and Napoleon's First Empire. The earrings have a later hallmark showing they were imported into Belgium from France, prior to 1879. Found in London. The stories they could tell...
