A strikingly similar pair is illustrated in the book “French Jewelry of the 19th Century” by Henri Viver. This authoritative book was initially published in 1903 and shows a pair of earrings that were likely made by the same hand, along with other earrings made in the transition time from the French Revolution and Napoleon's First Empire.
