Bell & Bird No. 4001 Pie Crust Diamond Ring

A cushion-cut diamond of just over 2.50 carats is the focus of this simple design. The stone’s soft geometry is framed by our pie-crust setting, made in 18k old gold. The scalloped edge catches the light with subtle rhythm. The result is both sculptural and a ring that feels as much heirloom as modern creation. 

This ring features a certified cushion cut diamond of 2.56 carats, N color, and VV2 clarity. A naturally colored diamond in an antique style to echo the rings of the past.

Bell and Bird Pie Crust settings: In the early 20th century, when platinum jewelry was still in its infancy, the delicate creations of the Belle Époque introduced millegrain, a setting technique marked by rows of tiny beaded edges that surrounded diamonds with a soft texture. For this collection, we take that refinement back in time, reimagining the millegrain effect within 18th-century-inspired settings. The result is a dialogue between eras: the precision of the Belle Époque meets the grace and warmth of Georgian design.

Made by us in our Texas workshop, this ring is handcrafted in our signature blend of 18K rose gold, affectionately called “Old Gold.” This distinctive shade has a richer, slightly deeper tone than modern rose gold, giving it a timeless quality that pairs beautifully with antique pieces. While our signature styles are repeated, our hand-fabricated process, paired with carefully curated stones, results in a truly one-of-a-kind ring. A process that no casting or mass production can replicate. This individuality is what gives each piece its soul.
