Victorian Diamond Buckle Bracelet

19th Century diamond bangle buckle bracelet, in 18k gold. Beautiful hand-engraved ribbon details.  Eleven old mine cut diamonds set in the buckle detail. The buckle motif symbolizes strength and loyalty. French in origin. Circa 1870. 

The bracelet is masterfully made, hinged at 4 separate points with a push-button closure. Inner circumference measures approximately 6.75".
