Victorian Era Carved Wax Seal Fob
England, circa 1830.
Set in 14k gold with a carved wax seal and a carnelian intaglio. The intaglio depicts two Cherubs on a seesaw with the Latin phrase "Telle est la vie", which translates to "Such Is Life".
Measures 1.25 inches in drop length. The intaglio and frame measure 0.90 long and 0.75 inches wide.
