Diamond Pavé Necklace

From the Private Catalogue

This necklace uses 10 carats of rose cut diamonds to decorate round links of platinum so that from any direction, the link can never be out of position.  Less dressy than a traditional necklace, the casual rose cut diamonds can be worn day and night.

Rose cut diamonds are used to add a subtle sparkle to a surface while additionally giving the surface a texture that cannot be achieved with full cut diamonds.  The reflections of these rose cuts, like half domed disco-balls, provides the sparkle as opposed to the internal sparkle of a full cut diamond.

All stones are set using the traditional antique techniques commonly used in the 18th and 19th centuries but rarely seen in modern jewelry. Our workshop uses time-honored practices and tools to capture the spirit and quality of the 200-year-old jewels that inspire our designs.

Hundreds of hours are involved in making this necklace and only this one will be made.  A handmade diamond decorated clasp finishes the necklace.  The necklace is entirely fabricated in platinum.
