Ancient Byzantine Coin Pendant
Roman, 6th-7th Century
A remnant of a copper coin from the time of the Roman Emperor, Maurice Tiberius. Very worn from time, the roman numeral M indicates the value of 40 nummi. The verso of the coin only shows remnants of the imagery of Christ. An 18k gold frame follows the shape of the coin remnant.
The coin measures 1.75 inches in drop length and 1.50 inches wide. Antique and modern gold chains are sold separately and are available in-store. Please call or email the shop to inquire.
