19TH CENTURY Old Mine Cut DIAMOND Solitaire Ring

Early 19th century diamond and original cut down setting. This was likely made into a ring in a more modern era. Beautifully cut antique stone with a lovely tinted color. The stone has incredible personality and changes appearance in varied light conditions. Approximately 2 carats, estimated at M (faint brown) color and VS clarity.  As appropriate for the time period, the stone is set in silver with an 18k gold shank. European in origin. Circa 1800.
