Early Victorian era ruby and diamond fly pendant. The nice pinkish-red cabochon ruby is hard to capture in the photos. The ruby is rich in color and vibrant, likely of Burmese origin. Old mine-cut diamonds make up the wings, body and eyes of this unusual insect pendant. Circa 1840. English in origin.
