Georgian Era Eye Mourning Brooch

Georgian era brooch in the shape of an eye, in 18k gold with natural pearls and black enamel details. There is a central locket compartment that contains finely woven hair. A very sentimental brooch as the Victorians used seed pearls to signify tears. Engraved "W Harris Thomas. OB 30 July 1826, AE 29 Years". English in origin. Circa 1820
