Georgian Era Garnet Earrings

England, circa 1820. 

Flat-cut garnet in a "fan" motif, set in gold. Once part of a larger piece of jewelry and later converted. Purchased in London. 

The earrings measure 1.75 inches in drop length and 1.50 inches wide.
