Georgian Era golden Hand necklace

Early 19th Century hand pendant. The hand is wearing a tiny ruby ring and manchette bracelet. The hand was popular motif of the time, symbolic of friendship. The pendant was once acted as a clasp for a period longuard or muff chain and later converted into a pendant. Hanging on a vintage 15k gold chain.  English in origin. Circa 1820.  

Measures 1/2" in length. It hangs on an antique 16" gold chain.
