Victorian Era SNAKE RING with Rubies

A delicate 19th century snake ring set with three natural rubies in 18k gold. English in origin. Circa 1870. The body of the snake encircles the finger with the tail coiling around the neck. Each ruby is bright and rich in color.

A lovely example of a serpent ring representing a wonderful sentiment. The snake was a popular Victorian Era symbol for eternal love and rubies were often utilized in love token jewels as they were representative of passion.
