Matched Pair of Georgian Mourning Rings

A pair of English mourning rings in enamel and gold. It is quite rare for a pair of rings to still remain together. Interior of each band engraved: “A.M. Fraser. Died 13 Sep 1809. Aged 51.”These rings were bequeathed in the deceased will. One, two or a dozen may have been made and distributed to loved ones. To find two together 204 years after being made and distributed is very rare.
18k Gold, Rock Crystal, finely woven hair & Enamel. Rings sizes 9 and 5.5, can not be sized. Sold as a set. Shown on model with our Posy “Virtue in thee is a crown to me” ring and our WWI German Empire Ring. Notes from the hunt: Found in the Midlands, UK
