A clever 19th century riddle carving. The white agate intaglio featurea a picture puzzle:  an hourglass, a cluster of flies, clasped hands, and a corset. Translating to:  "Time flies but friendship stays"  carved on the agate side, and on the back is a bloodstone with a carving that has the Gaelic saying "Érin go Brách" and a clover, Ireland forever.
