Victorian Era Gold Anchor Locket for Hope
Mid to late 19th Century 18k Gold locket. The Anchor, because of the great importance in navigation was regarded in ancient times of a symbol of safety. It is often seen in 19th century as a symbol of hope. Beautifully hand engraved monogram on reverse, "JCS".
Locket measures 1.75" in drop length and 1.25" wide. Missing original frame and glass but photos can still be placed inside.
