Victorian Era Old Mine Cut Diamond Snake Ring


Victorian era snake ring with beautiful pear shaped old mine cut diamond head. The stone weighs approximately 0.75 carats. The snake is set with ruby eyes. Circa 1880. English in Origin.

Throughout the 19th century, the serpent was a popular symbol of eternal love.  Queen Victoria's betrothal ring was a serpent set with an emerald head.
